Day 1 From car 808
We all travelled up yesterday, Bob the Builder was true to form and vomitted up green radiator liquid......We then drove to Blacktown Travel Lodge where we had dinner and an early night.
Up early, very excited morning at the start, catching up with friends from previous bashers and lots of cars with different themes such as pirates, blooze brothers, F111 pilots and guess what Woodsy even grown hair.
Hit the road arounb 9.00 for Boorowa - Bob the Builder Car was running hot so we decided to check it out at Goulburn - two hours later with a new raditor we headed for Boorowa - arrived at the school at 4.00 pm for lunch very hungry. We were sorry to see our bash mates Beast of Burden (Les, Greg & Mal) on the back of a flat top truck with a smashed front end. Specially sorry to see this after Les has put in so much time and effort.
Lots of great scenery, running through snow at Crookwell, lots of mud and its really really cold. In the afternoon we run in with the Mermaids as they had electrical problems on the black top and of course there was the mandatory stop for liquid refreshments.
We arrived at West Wyalong at 7.30 just in time for dinner and day on was completed. |
